Actions of the Chair since the last LAF meeting on 24 September 2025

Regional Access Forum - 1st October 2025

I attended this meeting at Leeds Civic Hall.  I updated the meeting about our membership, local plan, planning issues, Rights of Way Improvement Plan, National Landscapes, the Maltkiln development, and also took to the meeting a request for support, with regard to a letter to DEFRA, asking that access elements of major developments and SSI’s be included in future NE responses. This last topic is still in discussion with the Chair of the forum, to see whether personal contact would be better.

Maltkin Plan

I have been in conversation with Stephen and Judith about how to move this forward.

Town Investment Plans

I have drafted a statement from the LAF which could be sent to all the plan leads, as there are too many for the LAF to service.

Planning

I have liaised on numerous occasions with Rachel, over a number of different planning matters

Liaison with the Secretary

I have liaised with Dawn on a regular basis, over many different matters for the Forum
